TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Leon County Schools fifth graders have a chance to spend a day in charge of the Tallahassee Fire Department.
The department is holding a “Fire Chief for a Day” raffle that will allow one student to step into the boots of TFD Fire Chief Gene Sanders. Students who enter will be asked to answer a few questions on an entry form for a chance to be officially sworn in, meet TFD crews and take on some fire chief duties for the day.
