FORT PIERCE – If you’ve ever thought, “I wish Fort Pierce would ( ? ) to be a better place to live and work in the future, city officials say they would like to hear those ideas.
The city has developed an online community survey for residents, business owners and visitors to share their input on the priorities Fort Pierce needs to advance over the next 15 years that will guide municipal spending, services and decision-making.
It’s a key part in Fort Pierce’s current strategic planning to tie the city’s near-term priorities to a road map to a broader future vision for The Sunrise City.
“Community input is an important part of the process,” said Kaitlyn Ballard, city marketing and communications manager. “Feedback will help city leadership better understand the issues, opportunities and priorities that matter most to those who live, work and do business in the City of Fort Pierce.”
Officials have posted an online community survey that takes an estimated 10 minutes to complete on a computer or Smart phone. You can find the survey site at https://engageberrydunn.mysocialpinpoint.com/fort-pierce-strategic-plan/fort-pierce-community-survey.
And participants also may post their ideas, recommendations and observations on a public, online “wall” by going to https://engageberrydunn.mysocialpinpoint.com/fort-pierce-strategic-plan/fort-pierce-ideas-wall. The ideas posted there will be accessible to others who visit that site.
Both public engagement platforms for Fort Pierce 2041: One Vision, One Fort Pierce are open now and will remain active through Oct. 15.
“Fort Pierce 2041: One Vision, One Fort Pierce is the City of Fort Pierce’s strategic planning initiative designed to establish a unified vision for the community’s future and a clear path for achieving it,” Ballard said.
