September is giving Tampa Bay diners another reason to make a reservation. The 1905 Family of Restaurants is bringing back its annual Community Harvest fundraiser, giving customers a chance to support local nonprofits while enjoying a meal.
Throughout September, restaurants including Columbia, Ulele and Casa Santo Stefano will donate 5% of every bill to nearly 100 nonprofits across Florida. The best part? Diners get to decide where their contribution goes.
When the check arrives, customers can choose from a list of participating local nonprofits. The donation comes directly from the restaurant, so diners do not pay anything extra to take part.
Community Harvest has now reached its 29th year, continuing the 1905 Family of Restaurants’ annual effort to give back through its restaurants.
The fundraiser also gives Tampa diners a chance to enjoy some of the restaurants’ well-known dishes while supporting organizations in their communities. Tampa Bay 28 reporter Sean Daly recently stopped by Ulele on the Tampa Riverwalk, where he sampled the restaurant’s seafood risotto and spoke with fifth-generation owner Andrea Gonzmart Williams about the fundraiser.
