TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Umbrellas will be needed this afternoon and evening, with widespread storms likely.

It will stay dry through the morning, with storms starting to build after 12 pm. Storms will grow in coverage and be most widespread from 4 to 7 pm. Storms will move west, toward the beaches, and a few will linger until 9 or 10 pm.

Temperatures will warm into the upper 80s and low 90s before the rain develops.

Deep tropical moisture will be pooled over the state of Florida through next week with this similar pattern in place. Storms will develop each afternoon and evening and generally drift west, although the coverage of storms will vary slightly each day.

The coverage of rain today, Wednesday, will be quite high, with a slightly lower coverage of downpours tomorrow.
