Investigation continues after St. Lucie bomb team secures devices at Balsam Drive home

ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Team has been on scene at a residence on Balsam Drive.

Earlier on Thursday, Bomb Team units were deployed to the residence, with limited information regarding the details.

According to a 6:25 p.m. update, at around 12:20 p.m., detectives with the SLCSO Targeted Violence Unit served civil process at the Balsam Drive residence. During that process, items were identified as being potentially destructive devices.

The devices were eventually secured by the SLCSO Bomb Disposal Unit. SLCSO says that one individual is detained as the investigation continues.
