Volunteers invited to build garden beds at Jacksonville youth center

JACKSONVILLE, Onslow County — Community members are invited to help build garden beds for local youth Saturday, Sept. 12.

The Rotary Club of Jacksonville-New River will continue its service project at the New River YMCA Youth Center beginning at 9 a.m.

Volunteers will help build garden beds at the center, located at 159 Chaney Ave. Organizers say the project is designed to create a greener and healthier space for local youth.

The Rotary Club says everyone is welcome to participate. No special skills are needed.
