How to Get AroundFree Water Taxi & Shuttles
Miami Beach runs a free water taxi and shuttle program every Art Week, connecting Miami Beach with Downtown Miami. Boats run between Maurice Gibb Memorial Park (1790 Purdy Avenue, Miami Beach) and Venetian Marina & Yacht Club (1635 North Bayshore Drive, Miami), with dedicated free shuttles linking that water taxi stop to the Convention Center, South Beach, Mid Beach, and the Design District. Last year’s program ran with boats every 10-15 minutes from 10am to midnight (10am-10pm on the final day) and shuttles every 15 minutes.
Other Options
The Miami Beach Trolley and Freebee run free year-round and add extra service during Art Week; Citi Bike stations are spread across the city for a faster, self-directed option. Miami-Dade Transit’s Metrobus also connects to the mainland for anyone staying off the Beach.
