Drug-trafficking charge against Kodak Black dropped after Orange County arrest
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. —
A charge of drug trafficking that Florida rapper Bill Kapri faced after his May arrest in Orange County has been dropped, records show.
Kapri, whose stage name is Kodak Black, was booked into the Orange County Jail on May 6, having been arrested via warrant in connection with a November incident — in the area of Mercy Drive and Fairvilla Road — during which he was accused of trafficking in MDMA.
A judge in July granted a request from Kapri’s attorney to release him from all bail and pre-trial release conditions because charges still had not been formally filed at that time.
A No Information Notice filed Friday states prosecutors would not file charges in the matter because the evidence received was insufficient to prove possession of contraband.
