TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Rain chances gradually diminish in the coming days as drier air works into the Big Bend and South Georgia. Meteorologist Cameron Aaron has an update.
Tonight Through Sunday Night
A few showers are possible for Saturday night, but the rain chance is much lower than earlier in the day. Low temperatures stay muggy under a mostly clear sky. We bottom out in the low-to-mid-70s. Some areas of patchy fog are possible.
The rain chance on Sunday is a little lower. We are still anticipating some of those random, pop-up showers and thunderstorms. However, many locations will miss out on the rain. Highs climb into the low-and-mid-90s under a mix of Sun and clouds.
Another warm, muggy night is on tap to end the weekend. Lows fall into the mid-70s under a mostly clear sky. Again, some fog is possible.
Starting The Work Week
The big story to kick off the new work week, the summer heat is not done with us yet.
Highs on Monday and Tuesday soar into the mid-90s under a partly cloudy sky. Heat index values likely climb into the upper-90s and low-100s. Be sure to stay cool if you’re working outdoors.
We are not expecting many cooling showers for early next week. A few downpours are possible on Monday and Tuesday, but most are looking dry.
Overnight lows bottom out in the low-and-mid-70s.
Extended Forecast
Looking ahead, all eyes are on the potential for some noticeably drier air for the middle of the week.
Wednesday is looking very nice for mid-September! The forecast is mostly dry under plenty of sunshine.
We stay warm with highs in the low-90s, but the muggy meter is much lower as humidity is more tolerable.
The wind on Wednesday will be breezy. We are expecting some gusts up to 25 mph.
Let’s talk about potential low temperatures Wednesday night. Many spots will dip into the upper-60s. If Tallahassee achieves that, it will be the first night below 70º since June 25.
