A 15-year-old girl is facing a felony charge after allegedly damaging a Port St. Lucie Police Department patrol vehicle with a shovel during a disturbance last week.According to police, officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Bartell Avenue following reports of a domestic disturbance involving the teen. When officers arrived on scene, they found her standing in the middle of the roadway holding a shovel.Authorities say the teen approached the arriving patrol car and struck the hood with the shovel, causing more than $1,200 in damage.Officers took her into custody without incident.
