SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. – A head on crash on Interstate 75 in Sumter County left 3 people hurt, one critically on Sunday, state troopers say.
Florida Highway Patrol says a 22-year-old Ocala man was traveling the wrong direction, when he ran into a 57-year-old Texas woman driving a Land Rover, just south of State Road 91.
Troopers say both drivers went to the hospital with serious injuries, and a male passenger in the Land Rover was hospitalized with critical injuries.
Troopers say it’s unclear where the 22-year-old started driving the wrong way.
The crash is under investigation.
