TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A grand jury convened on Tuesday in the Hope Florida case, according to reports.
The Hope Florida Foundation, a charity arm of First Lady Casey DeSantis’ welfare-assistance program, became the subject of a criminal investigation earlier this year when a $10 million donation allegedly went missing.
According to the Miami Herald, several key players were seen at the Leon County Courthouse on Tuesday.
The Herald reports Representative State Rep. Alex Andrade, who led a House investigation into the foundation, was seen at the courthouse around noon on Tuesday.
Reports also indicate the leader of a nonprofit that received money from Hope Florida was at the courthouse on Tuesday.
WCTV reached out to State Attorney Jack Campbell, who had no comment on reports that he presented the Hope Florida case to a grand jury on Tuesday.
