Movers: Driftwood Capital Boosts Executive Team

Driftwood Capital is broadening its investment platform, naming David Resnick partner and co-chief investment officer and Andrew Dykeman senior vice president of equity investments, while promoting David Steiner to co-CIO. The appointments bring the Coral Gables-based firm’s equity and credit investing under one leadership team as Driftwood pursues larger hospitality, mixed-use and large-scale development projects, according to a news release. 

In their roles as co-CIOs, Resnick and Steiner will lead investment activity across both platforms, overseeing strategy, origination, underwriting and capital allocation, the release said. Resnick has 18 years of real estate investment experience. Before joining Driftwood, he spent 10 years at 13th Floor Investments, serving most recently as CIO, according to LinkedIn. Steiner, who joined Driftwood in 2020, co-founded the firm’s credit platform. Before joining Driftwood, he held a senior role at Cantor Fitzgerald’s Commercial Real Estate Finance group, according to Driftwood’s website. 

Dykeman joins Driftwood from the Witkoff Group, where he served as senior vice president of acquisitions and capital markets. He has also held roles at Barclays Investment Bank and Morgan Stanley. In his new role, Dykeman will be responsible for underwriting and structuring new equity investments, the release said. 

Miami Beach-based Avenue Real Estate Partners is expanding its presence in Palm Beach County with the appointment of industry veteran Francis Scire Jr. as executive managing director. He joins Avenue founder and CEO Aaron Butler and Executive Managing Director Bryan Semal to focus on leasing, placemaking, landlord and tenant representation and business development across Florida and select national markets, according to a news release. 

Scire has more than 35 years of experience in the industry. Before joining Avenue, he served as senior vice president and head of leasing at O’Connor Capital Partners, according to LinkedIn. He also held positions as the vice president of leasing for Simon Property Group and WS Development. In Florida, Scire was involved in the repositioning of The Royal Poinciana Plaza in Palm Beach and the completion of the Nora district in West Palm. His current work includes the repositioning of the former Grandview Public Market and surrounding Warehouse District as Caroline Station, the release said. 

Clayton Coastal Group has joined The Real Brokerage, bringing 37 agents and expanding its presence across the state. The group, led by Matt Clayton, serves buyers relocating from New York to Florida as well as second-home buyers in the state, a release said. 

Clayton Coastal is on track to reach nearly $300 million in real estate transactions this year, according to the release. By joining The Real Brokerage, the group will be able to expand into New York and serve all five boroughs. 

Neil Elliott has joined NAI/Merin Hunter Codman, one of Palm Beach County’s largest commercial real estate firms, as director of tenant representation. He has more than a decade of commercial real estate experience with $150 million in transaction value across office and industrial assets, specializing in tenant representation and corporate real estate services. 

Elliott previously worked as a senior advisor in Cresa’s South Florida and Houston offices. The Palm Beach Island native graduated from Flagler College.
