ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA)— An 18-year-old wanted for shooting his stepfather over the weekend has turned himself in, the St. Petersburg Police Department announced on Monday morning.
Police were called to a home in the 4300 block of Cherry Street N.E. around 4:20 a.m. Sunday regarding a shooting.
According to SPPD, a 34-year-old father was shot after a verbal argument with his 18-year-old stepson, Damaurie Mosley.
The father suffered serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. As of Monday morning, he is in stable condition.
Mosley left the scene but turned himself in on Sunday evening.
According to officers, Mosley is charged with attempted murder in the first degree.
