MIAMI, Fla. (CBS12) — A Miami woman is accused of forcing her way into a neighbor’s home and throwing a bucket of human feces at her during a love triangle dispute.

Officers with the Miami Police Department say 50-year-old Yirsi Esperanza Machado-Rivera was arrested Monday September 7 and faces counts of burglary of an occupied dwelling and battery.

According to the arrest affidavit, Machado-Rivera and the victim are neighbors who live in separate portions of a split trailer at Royal Country Mobile Homes in Miami.

Police say Machado-Rivera went to the victim’s side of the trailer around 6:17 p.m. and began banging on the door. When the victim opened it, Machado-Rivera allegedly accused her of having a sexual relationship with Machado-Rivera’s husband.

The affidavit says Machado-Rivera then forced her way inside without permission and began shoving the victim. Before leaving, police say she threw a bucket containing human feces at the victim.

A witness reportedly told investigators Machado-Rivera said she had pooped in the bucket specifically to throw it in the victim’s face.

Machado-Rivera was taken to the Northwest District Police Station, where detectives interviewed her after reading her Miranda rights in Spanish. During the recorded interview, Machado-Rivera gave investigators a different account.

She said she was trying to dispose of a bucket of “caca” because the toilet at her home was broken. She said the dispute began over the smell and problems caused by the feces.

Machado-Rivera also claimed the victim hit her over the head with a bat, causing a laceration.

She denied entering the victim’s home or throwing feces at her, according to the affidavit. Machado-Rivera was ultimately booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on the two charges.
