Coast Guard identifies paddleboarder who went missing off Jupiter Beach
The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for Matt Pawlowski, a 48-year-old paddleboarder last seen Monday morning off Jupiter Beach.
JUPITER, Fla. —
The U.S. Coast Guard identified a paddleboarder who went missing off Jupiter Beach on Monday.
The missing person was identified as 48-year-old Matt Pawlowski. The Coast Guard said he was last seen on Monday, Sept. 14, at 9 a.m. heading east aboard a 14-foot lime green and yellow paddleboard four miles off Jupiter Beach.

Pawlowski was reportedly seen wearing a white hat, orange shirt and gray shorts.

The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for Matt Pawlowski, a 48-year-old paddleboarder last seen Monday morning off Jupiter Beach.
The Coast Guard said it continued its search throughout the night with air and surface crews continuing the search on Tuesday. The search is based on Pawlowski’s last-known position, drift patterns and possible routes.
Sources confirmed to WPBF 25 News on Tuesday that Pawlowski is the Vice President at NextEra Energy in Juno Beach.

The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for Matt Pawlowski, a 48-year-old paddleboarder last seen Monday morning off Jupiter Beach. He was last seen heading east aboard a 14-foot lime green and yellow paddleboard on Monday, September 14, 2026.
NextEra Energy is the parent company of Florida Power & Light (FPL).
The Coast Guard Air Station Miami, Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater, Station Lake Worth Inlet, Station Fort Pierce, Coast Guard Cutter William Flores along with multiple local law enforcement agencies are assisting in the search.
