The Orange County Library System is showcasing its wide range of offerings, from film production resources to fiber arts classes, demonstrating that a library card unlocks much more than books.
Anthony Torres, a senior video production instructor at the Melrose Center, shared details about the Melrose Film Festival.
The Melrose Film Festival celebrates the art of visual storytelling, showcasing imaginative short films from filmmakers around the world, followed by filmmaker Q&As and an awards ceremony.
The free festival will be held Saturday, Sept. 26, from 12:30-5 p.m., within the Melrose Center at the Orlando Public Library.
Torres also highlighted the resources available at the Melrose Center for those interested in filmmaking.
Andrea, a fiber arts instructor at the Washington Park Branch, discussed the hands-on opportunities available through the library’s fiber arts programs.
