• I am ticked at all this AI fear. If AI were to attack humanity, it would go after the creators first as they would be the ones who could defend against it. So if we start seeing the AI leaders experiencing odd circumstances, then we will know.

• Does the FCC have any plans to work on stopping spam calls? Or is their main purpose to harass journalists and TV hosts? The calls continue to increase and we may get five or 10 calls a day. Because the caller ID will sometimes say “suspected spam” (unless it’s spoofing or fake), if you don’t answer the call you may miss a doctor’s office or an important return call. I encourage businesses to use a caller ID so that their calls will be answered.

• Progressive has a dumb 30-second TV commercial not only set at a dog park, but has a character spending 13 seconds on a phone explaining his dog’s ear infection. Tell me, does this prompt anyone to buy insurance?

The flip side

• I’m so appreciative that the Sentinel still issues a print version. I look forward every day to picking it up from my driveway and leisurely reading it. The reduction in print newspapers in the country is a tragedy and I hope the Sentinel continues the printed edition year after year.
