Dull moments are few and far between at Ybor City’s Kress Collective, and last night saw the space open doors for another third Thursday open studio where studios like Reverb hosted a solo from Brandon Vance while Tempus Projects gathered a triumvirate of art scene lifers for a conversation about art collecting.
Over the course an hour during “Go Ahead, Buy Some Art”, USF professor and international artist Noelle Mason, FloridaRAMA co-founder Liz Dimmitt and Dunedin Fine Arts Center curator Danny Olda went all in on pricing, the international art market, art fairs, emotional buying, and so much more for an engaged and curious gallery that was standing room only (full disclosure, the talk was moderated by this writer).
Coming up next for Kress Contemporary and Tempus Projects: The Ybor Arts Tour on Oct. 15, and a spaghetti dinner fundraiser.
