JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Some consider him Jacksonville’s favorite son. But Tim Tebow might catch some heat from locals after what happened in Denver on Sunday.
Tebow was seen at the Jaguars-Broncos game waving a Denver Broncos flag.
The flag actually fell off when Tebow was waving it, and he joked about it afterward on social media.
Of course, Tebow grew up in the Jacksonville area and played football for Nease High School in St. Johns County before going on to the University of Florida. And eventually he won a Heisman Trophy and two national titles.
Tebow’s biggest NFL success came at the helm for the Denver Broncos in 2010 (hence the flag waving), and he had a flirtation with the Jags. He made the roster as a tight end for the Jaguars in 2021 but was waived before the season started.
