September 21, 2026 – The City of Clearwater will host two tree code update community meetings in October. The first will be held Oct. 8 at the Clearwater East Community Library at St. Petersburg College, at 2465 Drew St., beginning at 5:30 p.m. A second will be held virtually Oct. 20 via Teams, also beginning at 5:30 p.m. A new amendment to the city’s tree code is currently in the development process. According to a prepared statement, it will “clarify requirements, improve usability and update tree removal permit fees.” The amendment “is tentatively scheduled for adoption in February of 2027.” For more information, visit this link.
