ORANGE PARK, Fla. – Orange Park Mall celebrated its 51st anniversary Tuesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony unveiling a refreshed brand identity and updates throughout the shopping center.
The event was held near the flagpole outside the Food Court entrance at 1910 Wells Road. The Clay County Chamber of Commerce joined mall leaders, business partners and community members for the ceremony.
The new branding features a modern reimagining of the mall’s iconic orange tree and a vibrant green color palette with warm citrus tones and bold blue reflecting its North Florida roots. New signage and the updated logo are being used throughout the center.

Randy Bowman, general manager of Orange Park Mall, said the rebrand reflects both the mall’s history and its future.
“The mall is 50 years old,” Bowman said. “The mall has come through various different stages, and the stage of life right now is beyond amazing.”
The improvements include fresh interior paint, new LED lighting and updated common areas. The food court also has new seating, replacing furniture Bowman described as dated.
“When you walk in, it feels bigger and brighter, more friendly,” Bowman said.
Orange Park Mall opened in 1975 and has become a longtime gathering place for the Clay County community. The center includes more than 120 national and local retailers, a 24-screen AMC Theatre and more than 20 eateries.
Jon Cantrell, president of the Clay County Chamber of Commerce, said the mall remains an important entry point and economic driver for the county.
“This is the opening to Clay County,” Cantrell said. “We hear about so many malls across America that are failing right now, and this mall with their new leadership, it’s just crazy how well they’re doing. They’re full. They’re growing.”
Cantrell also pointed to the mall’s location near the Duval County line and the Wells Road, Park Avenue and Blanding Boulevard corridors.
“It’s a big, big thing in Clay County for us,” he said.
