Katrina VenturaNEW YORK —

Whether it’s a private island or ultra-luxury high-rise towers, these ZIP codes have one thing in common: their residents have the deepest pockets in the country.

Miami’s Fisher Island is still the richest ZIP code in the country, where households have a median income above $250,000 and earn, on average, $756,000. It’s followed by the Louisville suburb, Glenview, in Kentucky, and the tech billionaire suburb of Atherton in Silicon Valley, California.

The Get the Facts Data Team ranked the richest ZIP codes in America using the 5-year estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey (ACS) 2024, which is the most recent data available. We looked at the average income of each ZIP code, filtered the ones that had a household population of more than 100, and if their median income exceeded $250,000.

We also looked at the amount reported by each ZIP code on their Federal income tax return and the median listing price of homes on Realtor.

We have created a map that shows the average household income of every ZIP code in the country. This is based on the 5-year estimates of the latest American Community Survey (ACS) published in 2024.

The ACS works with ZIP codes, which are used by the post office to route mail. Gray areas in the map that appear blank are likely national parks or remote areas that do not require postal service.

Search your ZIP code on the map below to see whether the average income in your area is below, within or above the average income of $83,000 estimated in 2024.
