Every year, we keep a running list of the best new dishes we encounter in the wild. Some are entirely new creations from brand new restaurants, and others are additions to tried-and-true menus. Some of this year’s entries were dishes distilled down to their purest form, like Marc’s simple Jersey cheese pie, or Ophelia’s flawless breakfast sandwich. Others, like Double Luck’s crab leg rangoons, were classics reinvented. And some were just brilliant chaos in the best way possible (see: Daniel’s foie gras crème brûlée). Also, a healthy majority of the dishes on this guide are things you eat with your hands. Not sure what that says about the state of dining in Miami, but if we were a fork lobbyist, we’d be nervous.
