Another drop in humidity is heading our way — here’s when

  • September 24, 2026

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Summer heat lingers for a couple more days, but another fall feel is right around the corner. Chief Meteorologist Mike McCall has the latest.

Tonight Through Tuesday Night

Spotty showers and thunderstorms are possible for Monday evening, but the activity should begin to weaken and fade away after sunset. Low temperatures fall into the low-70s under a partly cloudy to mostly clear sky.

Another warm, humid day is on tap across the region for Tuesday. Temperatures climb into the low-90s under a mix of Sun and clouds. A few downpours are possible during the peak heating of the day, but many locations are looking to miss out on the wet weather.

Tuesday night is looking mostly calm and mild. Lows bottom out in the low-70s under a partly cloudy to mostly clear sky.

Tracking Some Changes

Our summer feel will continue for one more day on Wednesday. Highs reach the low-90s under a partly cloudy to partly sunny sky. As a cold front moves closer, it should spark a nice scattering of showers and storms. However, it will not rain for every town. Lows settle in the low-70s.

By Thursday, our cold front will continue trudging to the south. Behind this system, we are tracking much drier air.

A few showers are possible on Thursday, mainly in our southern counties. However, most of us are looking drier and windier. We should see winds gusting to around 25 mph. Highs only top out in the mid-to-upper-80s under a partly sunny sky. Lows drop into the upper-60s.

A Fall Feel Is On The Way

The weather pattern is looking beautiful for Friday and next weekend.

As drier air rushes in, humidity and rain chances drop.

We are tracking dry, mostly sunny weather for Friday and Saturday.

Highs hover in the mid-to-upper-80s, with lows in the low-to-mid-60s.
