Pinellas Cold Night Shelters have been activated for the night of Monday, November 10, 2025.

The Pinellas Cold Night Shelter Program runs November 15 through March 15 each year; however, shelters are activating early this season due to cold weather conditions. The program is made possible through the dedication of volunteers at local churches and community organizations who staff and operate each site to ensure a warm, safe place for those in need.

A list of Pinellas Cold Night Shelters is available below.

Pinellas Cold Night Shelters activate when the National Weather Service predicts the “feels like” temperature will reach 40-degrees or colder throughout the county between 6:00pm and 6:00am. On November 10th, Pinellas is expected to experience “feels like” temperatures in the 30’s.

Through a partnership with the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA), bus rides to and from Cold Night Shelters will be free from 5:00pm on November 10th to 7:00am on November 11th. Riders must tell PSTA drivers that they are going to a Pinellas Cold Night Shelter when boarding to ride fare-free.

The last activation was February 20, when Pinellas Cold Night Shelters provided refuge to 344 guests in a single night. There were 10 activations last year.
