• I’m ticked off at Publix. They say, “Where shopping is a pleasure.” Not quite. It would be much more pleasurable if they took those items out of the middle of the dang aisles. I’m handicapped and use a scooter, but even with a regular shopping cart it’s a royal pain to navigate around them when there are others walking down the same aisles. You need to stop and wait, then go around. Not only that, but the freestanding items they have against the shelves usually block whatever it is I want to buy, so then I need to move the wire basket housing those items just to get to what I want.

• I’m ticked off at Florida Power & Light! With all the money they charge people for electric, you’d think they could afford to mow their lawn at the substation on Oregon Avenue in Sanford. They haven’t mowed it in over a month and the weeds on the sidewalk are as high as two to three feet. Two people can’t even walk side by side, as the weeds are taking it over.

• I know why the commercial may have been made, to annoy people, but Morgan & Morgan, please remove the “merman” commercial. It just has to go!

The flip side

• I would like to thank all the staff I encountered during my surgical stay at AdventHealth Celebration hospital. From the front-desk staff to the entire surgical-floor staff, my overnight nurse, Marc, and the valet parking staff, all were kind, compassionate and caring. Kudos, guys.
