PORT ST. LUCIE – A man wanted on a Martin County warrant for simple battery was found under a bed by Port St. Lucie Police in a hotel on Sept. 23, according to a police Facebook posting.
Officers went to a hotel on Village Parkway after receiving information that Kenneth Robert Ferow II, 41, was inside one of the rooms, according to the Facebook posting.
When officers arrived, Ferow’s wife told them that he was not in the room. Officers told her that they had credible evidence he was inside and they were ultimately given permission to check the room, according to the Facebook posting.
In searching the room, an officer looked under a bed and found him there. Officers ordered Ferow to come out with his hands up and he was taken into custody without incident, according to the Facebook posting.
A substance found on Ferow field-tested positive for methamphetime, according to the Facebook posting.
Ferow’s wife, whose name police did not release, and two children, ages 14 and 8, also were inside the room.
Ferow was arrested for possession of a controlled substance; two counts of child neglect; and the Martin County warrant for simple battery.
He was booked into the St. Lucie County Jail at 4:08 a.m., Sept. 24 and is being held there on no bond as of Sept. 24, according to the jail web site.
