Congratulations to @STUFFMagic for being named the 2026 NBA Mascot of the Year!

This marks the third time STUFF has been given this honor by his peers across the NBA (2016, 2017 and 2026).

“STUFF” the magic dragon debuted on Feb. 21, 1989, according to the team.

He hatched from a giant egg on Church Street in downtown Orlando. Ever since then, he has taken the NBA and fans by storm.

The Magic’s mascot is no stranger to accolades; in 2016 and 2017, he became the first mascot to win the “mascot of the year” award in consecutive years.

With his third win in 2026, he is now tied only with the Houston Rockets’ “Clutch” and the Utah Jazz’s “Jazz Bear” for most mascot of the year award wins.

“STUFF” also appeared three times in the 2016 dunk contest; he was there assisting then-Magic player Aaron Gordon.

Gordon and Zach LaVine’s battle in 2016 became one of the most memorable contests of all time, according to NBA.com.
