JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – A Jacksonville woman is facing several charges after a magistrate’s order says she attacked her husband with a butcher knife with their child in the room.
According to the document, Rocio Vargas allegedly attacked her husband with an 8-inch butcher knife on Saturday and cut his right arm near his wrist. She also hit the man in the face.
The pair’s child was in the room when the assault happened, the magistrate’s order says.
Vargas is charged with crime of domestic violence, assault with a deadly weapon, and child abuse.
The 21-year-old woman is being held on a domestic hold, according to online court documents.
