JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A fourth arrest was made Tuesday in connection with the 2023 shooting deaths of two men on Jacksonville’s Northside, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.
Jamaal Hameen, 31, was arrested Wednesday on two counts of second-degree murder and one count of accessory after the fact. Hameen was already in jail on unrelated charges when he was arrested in the double-homicide case.
Antonio Tillie Jr., 19, and Bryant Grund, 31, were shot and killed Oct. 6, 2023, on Kylan Drive off Moncrief Road.
Investigators said the shooting was part of a $20,000 gang-related hit targeting Tillie. Grund, an Uber driver, was driving Tillie when the shooting happened and was not the intended target.
Hameen’s arrest follows the arrests of Ju’Quan Mills, Diamond Harris and Jimmy Robinson in connection with the case.
Investigators said Harris lured Tillie to the area, where Mills allegedly shot him. Grund was found shot to death in the front seat of the vehicle.
Harris pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree murder in 2024. Mills is awaiting trial.
The investigation remains active.
