PORT ST. LUCIE – A 15-year-old girl was arrested on Nov. 6, stemming from an incident when she struck the hood of a Port St. Lucie Police car with a shovel, according to police reports.

On Nov. 3, police responded to a home in the 1400 block of Bartell Avenue, Port St. Lucie regarding a disturbance that Amy Chance, 15, reportedly was causing inside the home.

When officers arrived, they found the girl in the road with a shovel, which she proceed to hit the police car, causing about $1,200 worth of damage, according to police reports.

Chance, who was subsequently arrested on a felony charge of criminal mischief, was taken to the state Department of Juvenile Justice on Nov. 6, according to police reports.

No injuries were reported.
