Floridians are close to the final day to register to vote for the upcoming Nov. 3 general election that will decide a new governor for Florida.
The voter registration deadline for both Hillsborough and Pinellas counties is Oct. 5.
Early voting for both counties runs Oct. 19.-Nov. 1.
Early voters residing in these counties have access to pick any early voting precinct, while anyone who waits until Election Day, Tuesday Nov. 3, will have to vote at their assigned precinct.
The deadline to request vote by mail ballots is Oct. 22 at 5 p.m. All voted ballots must be signed and turned in no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day.
The ballot, of course, goes beyond the race for the governor’s mansion.
There are also three ballot initiatives, including Florida’s controversial property tax cutting Amendment 3.
Voters in the Bay area will also weigh in on positions in the governor’s cabinet, county commissioners, state house and and senate races, along with U.S. congressional and senate races and more.
