Surveillance video captured a shootout in Miami’s Liberty City neighborhood on Sept. 27, 2026.
Multiple gunshots are heard as innocent bystanders are seen running to safety.
The sidewalk shooter takes up a position behind a white Subaru SUV and continues to shoot, as the other person remains out of the camera’s view.
At one point, the man on the sidewalk opens the door to the Subaru and pulls out a rifle as he continues to shoot at the other man.
The other man runs down a side street as the man with the rifle chases after him and continues to shoot.

A man fires a rifle during a shooting in Liberty City.
According to an arrest report, Miami Police responded to the scene after receiving a ShotSpotter alert and found multiple spent casings, along with two vehicles, including the Subaru, that had been riddled with bullets.
The victim was also found nearby with a gunshot to his leg and a Glock handgun nearby, the report said.
He was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, police said.
Minutes later, 33-year-old Micah Tilley approached an officer and spontaneously told the officer “I did it…the shooting, I was defending myself,” the report said.
Tilley, who the report said was the man on the sidewalk with the rifle, was arrested on charges including attempted murder and discharging a firearm in a public place.
Family members said the victim, who they identified as Gerald Williams, was shot on his 36th birthday and died from his injuries, but authorities haven’t confirmed that information.
