LEE COUNTY, Fla. (WINK) — The Lee County Sheriff’s Office provided an update Tuesday on the death of K-9 Dundee, who died Monday after helping deputies apprehend a person who fled from a vehicle in North Fort Myers.

LCSO said there were no outward signs of trauma to Dundee. The agency said his death appears to have been caused by a medical event, but the necropsy report from the veterinarian is still pending.
