SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy rocket launching classified spy mission from Florida’s Space Coast
BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. —
SpaceX is targeting Thursday for Falcon Heavy’s launch of the NROL-97 mission from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center.
Liftoff is targeted for 11:53 p.m., with a backup opportunity available on Friday at 11:48 p.m.
This is the second and fourth flight for the two first-stage side boosters supporting this mission.
Following stage separation, Falcon Heavy’s two side boosters will land on SpaceX’s Landing Zones 1 and 2 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
This would be the second launch of the day in Florida after the successful liftoff of Crew-13, which sent four astronauts to the International Space Station.
