JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Duval County Jail inmate died after he was found unresponsive in his cell and taken to the hospital, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Thomas Trefzer, 60, was arrested on Sept. 16 on drug trafficking, DUI and other traffic-related charges.
On Thursday, he was found unresponsive in his jail cell. The Jacksonville Fire Rescue responded and took Trefzer to the hospital, where he died.
JSO said the incident is being investigated as a natural death pending the Medical Examiner’s Office’s results..
