An SUV lost control on a Florida’s Turnpike ramp near Bayshore Boulevard, crossed into the opposite lane of traffic and overturned Thursday morning, according to video posted by the SLC Scanner Facebook page.
The dashboard-camera video, recorded shortly after 8 a.m., shows the SUV traveling around a curve on the ramp before it appears to lose control. The SUV then swerves across the center line into the lane of oncoming traffic and flips over.
Other vehicles are visible nearby as the crash unfolds.
SLC Scanner, a Port St. Lucie community-news page operated by Dan Toback, said a witness called 911 after seeing dangerous driving near the Turnpike entrance. The page reported the vehicle had been traveling at a high speed and that drivers behind it had to stop.
It was not immediately clear whether anyone was injured or what caused the driver to lose control. CBS12 has not independently confirmed the crash details or whether authorities issued citations.
