An investigation is underway after a pickup truck crashed into a home in Miami on Thursday.
The crash occurred near Northwest 12th Avenue and Northwest 27th Street.
A man who lives in the home told NBC6 he was not there when the crash happened but was told the driver had made a U-turn and then attempted to avoid hitting another vehicle. The pickup truck subsequently struck the house and knocked down a nearby light pole, the man told NBC6.
Family members, including children, were inside the home at the time of the crash, the resident said. No injuries were reported.
The extent of the structural damage to the home was not immediately known.
Police have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the crash. It remains unclear whether any charges will be filed as the investigation continues.
