JetBlue is expanding its international flight network with a new nonstop route linking South Florida to the Caribbean coast of Colombia. The airline will now provide daily service from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and Ernesto Cortissoz International Airport (BAQ) in Barranquilla, providing travelers an additional option for getting to Colombia without a connection.

This new route is especially convenient for travelers in South Florida, where JetBlue already has a big presence. Barranquilla is now the airline’s fourth destination in Colombia, along with Medellin, Cartagena and Cali, where service is slated to begin later this month.

For travelers, the big change is simple: You don’t have to connect on JetBlue to get to Barranquilla from Fort Lauderdale anymore. The airline said the new service also offers Barranquilla travelers connections via Fort Lauderdale to destinations throughout its wider U.S. network.

What to know about JetBlue’s new routing

JetBlue is flying the new Fort Lauderdale-Barranquilla service daily with Airbus A320 aircraft. The flights will depart Fort Lauderdale at 11:05 a.m. and arrive in Barranquilla at 12:55 p.m. The return flight leaves Barranquilla at 2:05 p.m. and arrives in Fort Lauderdale at 5:56 p.m. All times are local.

The airline is also offering promotional fares on the route. Main experience fares from Fort Lauderdale to Barranquilla start at $134, with EvenMore fares at $234. Travel must be completed by March 9, 2027. Promotional fares are valid for travel from January 19, 2027 through March 9, 2027 and must be booked by October 2, 2026. Restrictions apply, and fares are subject to availability.

Passengers on the route will enjoy JetBlue’s standard Main experience, including free high-speed Fly-Fi, seatback entertainment with live TV and complimentary snacks and drinks. Travelers booking EvenMore enjoy additional benefits including extra legroom, priority security where available, early boarding and dedicated overhead bin space.

The new route also provides U.S. travelers with better access to Barranquilla, a major city on Colombia’s Caribbean coast and home to the famous Carnaval de Barranquilla. The daily nonstop service offers another option for travelers visiting family and friends, taking a vacation, or heading to the region for business to get to the city.

JetBlue’s expansion comes as the airline continues to build out Fort Lauderdale as a major connecting point for its network. Now with the addition of Barranquilla and the upcoming Cali service, travelers flying between South Florida and Colombia have more nonstop options than ever before.

That means yet another international destination is available to passengers who fly directly out of Fort Lauderdale. And another Colombian city is a nonstop JetBlue flight away.
