ST. LUCIE COUNTY – The Oxbow Eco-Center’s next St. Lucie Water Champions (SLWC) event focuses on sea turtle conservation with a field trip on Saturday, Oct. 10 from 9 to 10 a.m. to the Florida Power & Light (FPL) Nuclear Power Plant.
Learn how Inwater Research Group works with FPL to protect endangered sea turtles species that call our waters home. Biologists will share the importance of their scientific research and how you can help save our sea turtles too.
St. Lucie Water Champions is a free, action-based program series for adults consisting of a blend of digital resources and unique in-person field experiences centered around water in the local environment. The program aims to educate participants on the important, complex role that water plays in our lives. Join the initiative and experience insightful wetland explorations, seagrass science investigations, kayak adventures and more.
