Southwest Airlines published its Summer 2027 schedule on Oct. 2, and some Florida cities get some love.
Most new and returning flights expand the carrier’s summer presence in Austin, Texas, Nashville, Tennessee, San Diego, California, and Las Vegas, Nevada, while Orlando trips will increase to 173, 17 more than last year, the carrier said in a release. One new route will connect Orlando to Des Moines International Airport in Iowa.
Southwest will also bring back seasonal Saturday service between Austin and Sarasota, the release said. The summer schedule runs from June 3 through Aug. 2, 2027.

“The airline’s scheduled 4,498 trips on peak days during Summer 2027 are the most Southwest has ever offered in its summer schedule,” the Dallas, Texas-based carrier said in the release.
Southwest beefing up Orlando presence
