Rain chances on the Gulf Coast increase this week.
Scattered storms will rumble over parts of the Gulf Coast Monday afternoon and evening.
Your Gulf Coast Weather Most Accurate Forecast says storms will mainly favor inland communities. Thanks to wind from the west, neighborhoods east of I-75 could pick up between a quarter to a half an inch of rain Monday.
Overnight lows will fall into the mid-70s.
Tuesday will hold another round of inland storms. We will wake up dry, but pockets of rain will fire up near I-75. The bulk of the rain will fall east of the interstate. Thanks to increased cloud cover, we will only reach the upper 80s for most spots.
In the coming days, a stalled front will increase moisture for the Gulf Coast and raise storm chances by mid-week. While the front is expected to stall just north of Southwest Florida, expect rounds of scattered storms each afternoon.
