The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded Sunday to a fire at a mixed-use building in the 500 block of 3rd Street South. No injuries were reported, and the fire is under control.
The building included residential housing and businesses. Six residents were displaced as a result of the fire. The American Red Cross is assisting those displaced residents.
Officials said there is no threat to the public. The cause of the fire has not been released.
