October 6, 2026 – St. Petersburg College has been awarded with a $2.9 million, five-year U.S. Department of Labor Title III Strengthening Institutions Program grant. It will support the educational institution’s Next-Generation Educational Infrastructure for Technology and Artificial Intelligence (NEXT-AI) initiative. According to a prepared statement, “the funding will support upgrades to the College’s Virtual Desktop Infrastructure and expand AI-powered tools for career exploration, academic advising and workforce connections.”
