Atlantic Blvd closed from East Coast Drive to oceanfront due to standing water

ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla. – Atlantic Boulevard is currently closed from East Coast Drive to the oceanfront due to heavy rainfall and standing water, the Atlantic Beach Police Department said.

There is approximately 12 inches of standing water in the roadway, making it unsafe for cars to travel through the area.

Drivers are asked to use an alternate route until the road is reopened.
