PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) — Five years after the shooting death of a 20-year-old woman, the Port St. Lucie Police Department is still seeking answers.
At about 11:45 p.m. on Oct. 5, 2021, Port St. Lucie police responded to reports of multiple gunshots near Southeast Green River Parkway and Southeast Charleston Drive.
Police said Gabriella Gina Hanley was driving south on Southeast Green River Parkway in a black Kia Forte with her boyfriend, Darrick Mincey Jr., when another vehicle pulled alongside them and fired multiple rounds into their car.
Officers and rescue personnel began life-saving measures after finding Hanley with multiple gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead Oct. 6, 2021. Mincey was also struck by gunfire but survived.

Investigators found the Kia had 37 bullet impacts. Numerous 9mm cartridge casings were recovered, and forensic evidence indicated the bullets were fired from two separate rifles, police said.
Five years later, detectives are continuing to conduct interviews and examine forensic and digital evidence. No one has been charged.
At the time of her death, Hanley left behind a 20-month-old baby.
CBS12 reported in 2022 that investigators had identified three people of interest, but no charges were filed against them.
