THE ACREAGE, Fla. —
A 37-year-old Jensen Beach man died when his motorcycle crashed into the back of a van in Loxahatchee Groves, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said.
Derrick Teets was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at Southern Boulevard and D Road near Lion Country Safari on Sunday night.
Deputies responded at 9:49 p.m.
Teets, riding a 2021 Honda CBR600RR, was going at a high speed eastbound in the inside lane of Southern Boulevard behind a Ford Transit van, driven by a 53-year-old Boca Raton woman, according to the crash report.
The motorcycle struck the van’s back.
Teets was ejected, and the motorcycle slid in the median.
