A man was found guilty of fleeing and eluding and robbery charges after a 2024 arrest for his involvement in a Cape Coral arcade robbery, according to the State Attorney’s Office.

The SAO says that Mikael Alejandro Blanc Stewart was initially arrested after evidence showed that he was the getaway driver following an armed robbery of an arcade. It adds that he drove around the business three times before letting his co-defendant out of the car to rob it.

Cape Coral police responded, and Stewart drove off. Records say that he veered off the road multiple times, drove into oncoming traffic, ran stop signs and reached speeds of 100+ miles per hour.

Eventually, the vehicle crashed and Stewart was arrested. He was found guilty as charged of two counts of fleeing to elude a law enforcement officer and two counts of robbery with a deadly weapon.
