UofL football looked to snap its two-game losing streak Friday when Florida State visited L&N Stadium.

It was a slow start for the Cards, with Florida State coming out of the first quarter with a 14-0 lead.

That quickly changed in the second half, with the Cards scoring twice to make it 14-14 at the half. Running backs Isaac Brown and Marquise Davis were the two scorers in the first half. Brown’s run was a 97-yard touchdown, the longest play in program history.

UofL was quick to strike out of the break. Isaac Brown returned the kickoff for 71-yards, setting the Cards up with excellent field position. A four-play, 14-yard drive was capped off by a rushing touchdown from quarterback Lincoln Kienholz.

That touchdown put the Cards up 21-14.

Louisville followed that up with a 76-yard drive, with Kienholz punching it in from one yard out to make it 28-14.

Louisville’s rushing attack kept coming in the fourth quarter. Braxton Jennings went 32 yards for UofL’s fifth rushing touchdown of the night, making it 35-14 with just under 13 minutes left.

The Seminoles weren’t lying down, scoring a touchdown on their next drive. Florida State went for two, but the pass was intercepted by UofL, making it 35-20.

It would be just a minute later that Isaac Brown would go up the middle for a 68-yard rushing touchdown, extending Louisville’s lead to 41-20.

UofL capped off the game with a 39-yard field goal.

The Cards won 44-20, improving to 3-3 on the season. They’re now 2-2 against ACC teams.

Brown finished with 258 yards on 17 carries with two touchdowns.
